During the primaries Grizzly Bear's Ed Droste was a strong supporter of Bernie Sanders before throwing his weight behind Hillary Clinton in the general election. Now post-election and in this holiday week Droste has posted a lengthy Instagram message that takes aim at Trump's supporters and comments on some of the post-election racism, such as the swastikas spray painted at the memorial playground dedicated to the late Adam Yauch of Beastie Boys. It starts with Droste reminding us in this Thanksgiving week that "we slaughtered millions of Native and stole their land. The same text went up on Grizzly Bear's Facebook page to which one fan named Sam Lakey commented: "This is unbecoming and unprofessional.

Hey John! Been having computer issues but I think I'm back on track. You certainly hit the nail on the head with Grizzly's transition from the first to second lp. What a leap in sound and arrangements! The music is exquisite, involving and proof positive that great music is still being made.
